Project Elements:
Reston Town Center consists of over 2,000 multi-family residential units and
over 3.4 million SF of commercial development; including office, hotel and
retail uses. These uses are complemented by an extensive public and private
street network and public spaces such as an ice-skating rink, open area parks
and a bus transit facility.
Engineering Tasks:
Site and feasibility studies, zoning plans, public and private road
design, SWM and BMP design, site plans and major utility plans.
Of Special Note:
Reston Town Center is widely recognized as one of the most successful planned
developments in the nation. Initiated in the late 1980’s, Reston Town
Center development continues to this day. Urban is providing the design for
the balance of the project.
Awards:
Reston Town Center is the recipient of 23 regional and national awards
for excellence in design.
